Born in Valencia, Spain. He holds a PhD in History and Arts from the University of Granada and a Diploma of Advanced Studies from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. He was the promoter and founder of Humanium International University, where he serves as Honorary Rector (currently UNIPRO). He holds degrees in Composition, Musicology, Music Pedagogy, Solfège and Music Theory, and Piano from the Joaquín Rodrigo Superior Conservatory of Music. He also studied Orchestral Conducting and Mathematics at the University of Valencia.

He furthered his education through national and international courses and programmes, including Música en Compostela, Iannis Xenakis’s L’UPIC, the Granada International Festival, and IRCAM in Paris, among others. His symphonic and theatrical music has received several awards. He has received numerous commissions and requests from institutions and festivals such as the Alicante International Contemporary Music Festival, ENSEMS (Valencia), the Spanish Ministry of Culture, the Generalitat Valenciana, the Institut Valencià de Cultura, the Valencia Orchestra, F.I.B.M. d’Altea, the Morelia International Festival (Mexico), the 36th International Horn Symposium, MACBA Barcelona, the XXIV BBK Festival (Guggenheim Bilbao), LEMATS 2014 (Seville), as well as from various instrumental ensembles and soloists.

He was Director and Professor at the Buñol Conservatory (Valencia). A tenured civil servant since 1994, he has pursued his teaching career as Professor of Composition and Contemporary Music at the Joaquín Rodrigo Superior Conservatory of Music in Valencia, where he also taught on the Master’s Degree in Performance. He created and taught the subject Sound Space at the School of Dramatic Arts (ESAD) in Valencia. His catalogue comprises more than 80 works in a wide variety of genres. His scores have been performed at numerous international music festivals and concert series.

He has served as a jury member at numerous music competitions, including the Gran Premi Musical d’Andorra, as well as at composition competitions. He has orchestrated national anthems and municipal hymns and has been invited to lecture on Spanish music and, in particular, on his own work at institutions and events such as the Instituto Superior de Arte in Havana (Cuba) and the Juan Luis Vives Forum.
