Vicente Campos, Director of the Conservatori Superior de Música de Castelló, holds an advanced degree in Music, specializing in trumpet, from the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Valencia; a Master’s degree in Musical Aesthetics and Creativity from the Universitat de València-Estudi General; and a PhD in Philosophy and Educational Sciences from the same university.

He received the Extraordinary Honorary Prize at the end of his advanced studies in trumpet, the First Prize of Juventudes Musicales in 1980, the First “Mariano Puig” Prize in 1982, and the 2005 National Music Prize with the Grup Instrumental de València. He is currently Professor of Trumpet in the Brass and Percussion Department of the Conservatori Superior de Música de Castelló, where he has served as director since 2004.

As a performer, he has appeared as soloist with leading Spanish orchestras and ensembles, including the Valencia Symphony Orchestra, Grup Instrumental de València, Valencia Brass, and the Navarra Symphony Orchestra. He also regularly collaborates with international chamber ensembles and string orchestras such as Solistas de Sofía, Virtuosos de Moscú, Capella Istropolitana, and the Ljubljana Chamber Orchestra.

He has recorded several albums and CDs as soloist with various chamber groups, including a notable recording of Francisco José de Castro’s Concerti Accademici with Collegium Instrumentale. From 1996 to 2016, he directed the International Chamber Music Course and Festival of Montserrat in Valencia, and since 2004 he has directed the Música i Festa Festival in Massanassa.

He continues to develop an international career as a trumpet soloist across Europe, the Americas and Asia. Together with Miguel Ángel Navarro, he has published Básicos para trompeta piccolo, the first method for piccolo trumpet published in Spain.
